Hi I’m Bo

I set up Bo Fentum Design in 2018 as a multi-disciplined design studio specialising in residential design. I have a degree in interior design from Chelsea College of Art and I’m also qualified in interior architecture. This combination means I look at design from the ground up, taking the bones of your home and establishing the most effective use of space. I also make it look fabulous!

Giving you the confidence to express your style

Our homes are a space for us to convey our personality and creativity. People often have an idea of how they’d love their home to look but lack the confidence to make it happen. I’m there to help you express what you love about your home and release its potential.

I might push you a bit to see how adventurous you want to be, but my skill is in finding just that point where you have the home you adore that is exactly to your taste. I want to show you what’s possible, see what excites you and get that balance of your style and personality expressed throughout your home.
I never tire of walking into a new client’s home and seeing the potential, working with them to create a home that feels uniquely theirs.

Homes are for living in

I combine interior design and interior architecture to ensure the finished design and look of your home is harmonious. I approach design from the inside out. Understanding a space, its function and its flow is central to making it work. Homes are for living in so the interior design should enhance the space, create a feeling of harmony while, of course, looking amazing. But imagining how it will look and how it will work is hard when you’re looking at a plan on a piece of paper. I bring it to life.

Achieving your goals

If you’re changing your home, it’s to make your life better in some way – it’s not simply about square footage. An extension might be just what you need. But it might not. Maybe you could achieve something better by moving an interior wall? Let’s look at how we make the house flow properly. I’m not an architect. I create the visual plans and then a structural engineer draws up the technical plans for planning permission and for the builder.

But with 3D plans you can really see how your home will look and feel – more importantly you’ll see how it will be uniquely yours. When you’re spending a lot of money on home improvement, it ensures you spend that money wisely.

For me this is the most effective way of getting design properly considered in your building plans. It means the design is budgeted into the work in advance and that means you can make informed choices about what you really want.

Most importantly it means that when the work is finished, you have the home you dreamed of.
